Rich Nice is a pioneering Hip-Hop executive, artist, producer, educator, and cultural strategist whose career spans music, television, theatre, and education. A proud son of the U.S. Virgin Islands, he made music history as the first rapper and first Virgin Islander signed to Motown Records.

After touring as an artist, Rich helped establish Track Masters Entertainment, serving as producer, A&R executive, and marketing strategist before becoming Vice President of A&R for Track Masters/Columbia Records. During his tenure, he contributed to projects involving Maxwell, The Fugees, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Nas, Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Will Smith, 50 Cent, Bob Dylan, and Michael Jackson.

His career expanded across entertainment as an executive consultant, music supervisor, television producer, and music technical advisor. He supervised music for Def Poetry Jam on Broadway, which received a Tony Award, and served as a producer and Music Technical Advisor on Hulu’s Emmy Award-winning Wu-Tang: An American Saga. His collaborations span artists, brands, and cultural institutions, including Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, Rakim, Kool Herc, Kanye West, DJ Premier, Nike, Google, MTV, and BET.

An accomplished educator, Rich teaches Music Entrepreneurship and Broadcast Theory and serves as Vice Chair of the Hip-Hop Education Center, helping develop curriculum and resources for educators. He also created the A&R Room on Sway in the Morning and has supported influential cultural platforms including Soul in the Horn.
