Maurice "Soulfighter" Taylor AKA Poet soulfighter has been rocking the mic since 1987 first public improv experience with the mother of Kadijah Abdul at Williams college, when I was 17 in High school. My last was Cultural Healing by Poetic Recovery founded by myself. The event was held at The New Africa House in the Black studies department with many artist around New England to celebrate the year long work of encouraging healing and recovery via cultural expression such as music, dance, visual arts, rapping. singing, and poetry. MCSoulfighter has performed through out the country at colleges, movements, openmics and looking to hit the ground harder after focusing many years on grassroots activism developing Community Against Hate, Poetic Recovery movement now org, North East Regional Director of Hip Hop Congress, and founder of the Poetic Recovery social media site poeticrecovery.us. This social media is geared towards deep and spiritually and cultural intimate discussions to lead towards building healthy communities. MC Soulfighter has created digital tools to bring the Poetic Recovery cultural movement to a higher level.
