Simma is an educator, counsellor, and social strategist who bridges culture, art, wellness, and learning. Grounded in individual practice, classroom innovation, and work with vulnerable populations, she creates person-centered spaces for healing, growth, and education across schools, youth programs, wellness settings, and museums.A believer in lifelong learning as liberation, Simma empowers young people not just as learners—but as creators, storytellers, and visionaries. Turning her love for writing and spoken word into authorship, she created Hip-Hop, On You I Stand—a resource that uses Hip-Hop as a case study in resilience, cultural identity, and emotional wellness. Through it, students explore self-awareness, creative expression, and social consciousness through a culturally responsive lens.Simma serves on the Board of Directors for the Hip Hop Education Center and the Roundhouse Arts and Community Centre, where she continues to advocate for the transformative power of culture and creativity in education.
